At an extraordinary EU summit, 26 member states accepted a declaration on Ukraine, while Hungary, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, opposed it, citing it goes against US President Donald Trump's diplomatic direction. The EU also agreed to strengthen defense cooperation, potentially enabling military investments of up to €800 billion. Orban warned that without US support, Europe must decide whether to finance Ukraine's war efforts alone, and announced he would block the Ukraine aid package to prevent the continuation of the war.
